Golden Bachelor’s Gerry Turner Is Dating Again After Theresa Nist Breakup
Gerry Turner is living life to the fullest.
The Golden Bachelor alum shared an encouraging update on his health four months after sharing that he'd been diagnosed with a rare form of bone marrow cancer called Waldenström's macroglobulinemia.
"I feel great," Gerry said on the April 15 episode of theBachelor Happy Hour podcast. "As I've said, until I have symptoms, there's no treatment."
The 73-year-old—who shares daughters Jenny, 50, andAngie, 42, with his late wifeToni Turner—went on to detail his evolving blood testing schedule, which indicates to him that his doctor sees him being able to live with his cancer for years to come.
"I go frequently for blood tests," Gerry explained. "I'm on, like, a six-month schedule now, and I feel optimistic because the doctor has said, ‘Well, when you turn 75, we're going to have to go three-month increments.’ So it's telling me that at least he expects me to live another couple of years to get to that. But the bottom line is I feel really good."
The retired restauranteurwent on to share how living with his diagnosis has given him a more open approach to life.
"I mean this sincerely, from the time I got this diagnosis, it's a privilege to live like you're dying,” Gerry explained. “I don't turn down anything. I feel like I'm more open to emotions. I'm more open to experiences.”

In fact, adding to that feeling for the former reality star—who split from ex Theresa Nistin April 2024 after meeting her onThe Golden Bachelor in 2023—is his new girlfriend.
“The person I'm dating will say, ‘Do you want to go do...?' And before she even gets out the rest of the sentence, I will say yes," Gerry gushed. "So I'm in on everything."
He continued, "It makes life exciting because you kind of in the back of your head feel like you've got a lot of living to do and you don't know how long you have to do it, so don't turn down anything. And so, in a way, it's really a good thing."

When pressed for more details on his exciting new relationship, however, Gerry stayed mum at the risk of sharing too much too soon.
"I am dating someone," he confirmed. "I think at this point it’s going well. But I don’t want to say too much and jinx it and I’m trying to respectfully get to a point where there’s an acceptable amount of time from my divorce."
"Maybe that’s an old fashioned thought," Gerry added, "maybe it doesn’t matter as much as I think it does, but to be respectful, I kind of want to slow roll this."
